Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-1 depends on a class of host proteins called host dependency factors (HDFs) to facilitate its infection. Identification of HDFs remains a crucial step to decipher the complicated human-HIV-1 relationships. We have developed a human gene functional network-informed prediction method based on a machine learning algorithm to infer the potential HIV-1 HDFs. To facilitate the research community, all the experimentally validated HDFs and predicted HDFs with high-confidence were compiled into this web database.
