ASTool
Alternative splicing (AS) includes four main types: intron retention (IR), exon skipping (ES), alternative 5' splice sites (A5SS) and alternative 3' splice sites (A3SS). ASTool is a simple and easy-to-use bioinformatics tool for detecting AS events. And ASTool is developed to detect percent spliced in (PSI) for each AS event. Generally, IR is the most prevalent form in Plants. Accordingly, ASTool can detect novel IR events based on known splice sites.
